Abstract artist K. Kostolny incorporates depth and tangible texture to his mesmerizing works. In his studio in southern Germany, he uses fabric and metallic strips to add a dramatic, texturized feel to his mixed-media compositions. He divides leaves and geometric shapes into sections with textural variations. Kostolny uses a range of colors from warm, rich, saturated hues to cool blues and grays to evoke a variety of moods from calm and peaceful to ebullient and energetic.
